How
do I qualify for the traffic school program?
To qualify for the traffic school
program you must meet the following criteria:
You
have been cited for a single moving violation.
You will not qualify if an accident was involved or if your charge has a
mandatory doubled fine for a violation that occurred in a construction or
school zone.

| You
have received no other moving violations or traffic crime charges within the
last two years.
|
You
have not participated in another traffic school program in the last two
years to keep a conviction off of your record.
|
| You
have a valid non-commercial drivers license or permit. |
If you meet the above mentioned criteria for the traffic school program, and
wish to participate, please fill out the traffic
school request form prior to your court appearance date and mail
the form along with the appropriate fee (please see the following Traffic
School Fee Schedule) to:
Shady Cove Municipal Court, PO Box 1210, Shady
Cove, OR 97539.
Once your request form and payment are received, it will be reviewed for
approval. Upon approval the traffic school information will be mailed to you.

directly to the right of the base fine listed on your citation:

*This is only the non-refundable fee that is paid to
the court. If your request is approved, you will be mailed information on how to
schedule a traffic school class. Typical tuition for a class is $50.00, which
will be an additional cost to you.

do not submit the base fine amount in addition to the traffic school fee.
