If you wish to enter your plea before the
Municipal Court Judge, your court arraignment date and time is listed at the
bottom of your citation. The Oregon State Legislature has set a minimum
and maximum fine for each type of violation. The judge cannot reduce the
fine below the minimum; therefore, the bail amount listed on your citation is
the "base fine", which is higher than the minimum and lower than the
maximum fine.
