'Daffodil
Daze' & 1K Community 'Fun Walk'
A scenic self-guided tour of daffodils in Shady Cove Over a million daffodils have
been planted over the past decade. A variety of daffodils begin their bloom, starting
early March and continue (depending on weather conditions) through
April. There are trolley and bus shuttles up
Daffodil Hill to The Oaks Spring Gardens.
Spring 1K Daffodil Daze Community FUN WALK starting at 1
p.m. From Walker Center on Sawyer Road, the walk continues up Daffodil Hill to
The Oaks Spring Garden's. The event benefits local schools, seniors
and shut-ins.

Road Cleanup
The Highway 62 "Road Cleanup"
day is cosponsored by the Greater
Shady Cove Boosters and the City of Shady Cove, this is
a great opportunity to get involved in helping to keep
our City clean. If you would like more information,

Annual Upper Rogue Community Center Youth Coalition
'Spring Parade'
This event is always held the day before
Easter. The URCC 'Spring Parade' features home
town fun with an array of small floats, music, animals,
bicycles, walkers, local merchants and service agencies.
The north bound lane of Hwy 62 is closed for a short
period of time so the parade participants can 'Celebrate
Spring' . . . starting from the Shady Cove City Hall
and continuing through the heart of Shady Cove on
Highway 62, to Two Pines Square. Each parade participant
is required to have a child on board their entry.

APRIL

River
Cleanup
The Rogue Sportsmen & Guides Association,
along with the Greater Shady Cove Boosters and the
City of Shady Cove host a "River Cleanup".
This year, scuba divers will help clear garbage that
has sunk, while volunteers pick up trash, bottles,
cans, clothing and fishing line along the river banks.

Annual Wildflower
Show
10:00 a.m. to 4
p.m. - Shady Cove School.
The show
includes over 200 live wildflower specimens identified by common
& botanical names, many exhibits, continuous video, Master
Gardener & Botanist on site during show.

Art Fair &
Sale' by the Upper Rogue Artists
The Art Fair & Sale is held in conjunction with the annual
Wildflower Show and includes a Quilt Show & Raffle by the
Material Girls.
Citywide Yard Sale
The City of Shady Cove sponsors an annual communitywide yard sale. This is
a great opportunity to sell your old treasures to
someone new. For those treasures that don't sell ......

CleanUp
The Friday and Saturday following the communitywide
yard sale, the City of Shady Cove sponsors Citywide
Cleanup Days at the Fire Department. If you would
like to volunteer to help during the cleanup days,

The 4th Annual Shady Cove River Art Walk is scheduled
for Saturday, August 09, 2008-10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and
Sunday, August 10, 2008-10 a.m.-4 p.m. This event
always draws a crowd. Come and experience the talented
artists we have living in Jackson County.
Local Artist Linda Steen, owner of Linda's
Unique Creations will have her gourds on display.
There will be food, beverages and entertainment. The
entrance to this event is at the Edgewater Inn and
runs along the river. If you would like more information
on this event, or would like to get a booth, please
call: 878-3626. The booths fill up quickly, so don't
miss out on showing off your talent.
